Analyst, Credit - Life Sciences
Trinity Capital Inc., a leading provider of diversified financial solutions to growth stage companies, is looking for an experienced Analyst, Credit – Life Sciences to join its world-class team in Solana Beach, CA.

Job Description
This position is an extraordinary opportunity for a motivated individual to join a company focused on growth and building long-term value for its investors. The Analyst, Credit will be an integral contributor in the due diligence process and the business case supporting a financing transaction. This position is based full-time, on-site, at our office in Solana Beach, CA (the office will be relocating to Del Mar, CA by the end of 2025).

Duties and Responsibilities
- Interface closely with Originations team to obtain the materials necessary to commence the due diligence process for prospective portfolio companies.
- Collect and review submitted data from prospective portfolio companies; work with Originations team to address any gaps or deficiencies.
- Prepare initial rating sheet for prospective companies.
- Evaluate and summarize financial data from prospective portfolio companies and present summary analysis to the Due Diligence team.
- Conduct deep dive financial analyses as required, under the direction of Supervisor.
- Present analysis results to the due diligence core team and Investment Committee in a clear and concise manner.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline, preferably Finance
- A minimum of one year of industry experience in a relevant role, such as investment banking, accounting, or consulting
- Deep familiarity with financial reports: income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Familiarity with and general understanding of the various aspects of business operations; e.g. sales, marketing, product development, production, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; meticulous attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications (desired but not required)
- Completion of, or progress toward, MBA or MS Finance
- Experience interfacing with attorneys and the negotiation of contracts
- Familiarity with the terms of venture equity investing and capital structure
