Chen Luo

Chen Luo serves as Senior Director of Credit & Portfolio for Trinity Capital and is responsible for analyzing incoming investment opportunities, providing recommendations to the Investment Committee, as well as managing client relationships and restructuring existing investments.

Chen began his career as a semiconductor engineer at Cypress Semiconductor, where he spearheaded multiple process optimization projects across various areas in semiconductor device fabrication. Before joining Trinity, Chen was a relationship manager at Stifel, focusing on various debt transactions with venture-backed companies in the technology and healthcare sectors. Prior to that, Chen performed business valuation work at Duff & Phelps and served as a strategy consultant for Wolters Kluwer.

Chen received his B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and his MBA with distinction from Boston College. Chen holds the CFA designation.

Born and raised in Nanjing, China, Chen enjoys reading and studying his favorite investors, Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger.

He served as general partner at Point Financial Capital Partners, a venture leasing fund and held a prior role as the president and CFO of InvestLinc Financial Services, an early-stage private equity fund and consulting firm. He has also worked as a partner at Cornerstone Equity Partners, a private equity fund.
