Associate Director, Credit & Portfolio

David Gallab

David Gallab serves as an Associate Director on Trinity Capital’s Life Sciences Credit and Portfolio team, where he focuses on underwriting new investment opportunities and manages a portfolio of growth-stage companies across MedTech, BioTech, HealthTech, diagnostics, and life science tools.

Prior to joining Trinity, David built a background in MedTech strategy, corporate development, and financial analysis at Intuitive Surgical and Dexcom. His experience spans investment analysis, M&A diligence, financial modeling, and portfolio prioritization. He has partnered closely with clinical, R&D, commercial, and marketing teams to evaluate technologies from early incubation through commercialization, while supporting senior leadership on high-impact strategic initiatives.

David holds a BS in Industrial Technology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Originally from Silicon Valley and now based in San Diego, he is passionate about helping innovative healthcare companies scale and deliver meaningful technologies to patients. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, traveling, surfing, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

He served as general partner at Point Financial Capital Partners, a venture leasing fund and held a prior role as the president and CFO of InvestLinc Financial Services, an early-stage private equity fund and consulting firm. He has also worked as a partner at Cornerstone Equity Partners, a private equity fund.

Brown has a B.S. in business administration and marketing from McNeese State University and is a current Small Business Investor Alliance – Western Regional Committee member.

Growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana left a lasting impression on Brown. He is an avid LSU fan and loves a good bowl of spicy gumbo on a cold day.
