Hunter Gottlieb
Hunter Gottlieb serves as Associate Director of Credit and Portfolio on Trinity Capital’s Sponsor Finance team. He is responsible for evaluating potential investment opportunities, presenting deal rationale to the Investment Committee, and managing client relationships of existing portfolio investments.
Prior to joining Trinity Capital, Hunter spent 5 years at Ernst & Young Capital Advisors’ US Technology mergers and acquisitions (M&A) team where he provided sell-side, buy-side, and financing advisory services across a variety of market environments. Hunter gained expertise in middle market technology M&A with a focus on IT services, managed services providers, and enterprise software.
Hunter has a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Business Analytics from Indiana University. Additionally, he holds FINRA Security Industry Essentials Series 63 and 79 certifications.
Hunter is currently based in San Francisco where he enjoys exploring urban landmarks, learning new recipes, and spending time around the water.

He served as general partner at Point Financial Capital Partners, a venture leasing fund and held a prior role as the president and CFO of InvestLinc Financial Services, an early-stage private equity fund and consulting firm. He has also worked as a partner at Cornerstone Equity Partners, a private equity fund.
