Justin Small

Justin is a Director on the Asset Based Lending team at Trinity Capital. In his role, Justin leads the structuring, underwriting, and execution of credit facilities and provides recommendations to the Investment Committee.

Justin has spent his career within private credit and has experience working across asset classes to provide fintech and specialty finance originators asset-based credit solutions through varying structures. Over Justin’s career, his responsibilities have included underwriting, structuring, and managing borrower relationships.

Justin graduated from the University of San Francisco where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the McLaren School of Management.

In his free time, Justin enjoys hitting the golf course, hiking, and spending time with his wife and son.

Brown’s 30 years of experience in venture equity and venture debt is apparent in his ability to adeptly manage sales and strategic business operations working with early-stage companies.

He served as general partner at Point Financial Capital Partners, a venture leasing fund and held a prior role as the president and CFO of InvestLinc Financial Services, an early-stage private equity fund and consulting firm. He has also worked as a partner at Cornerstone Equity Partners, a private equity fund.
