Matt Nuyen

Matt Nuyen is a Director of Originations on the Equipment Finance team at Trinity Capital. His focuses include sourcing investment opportunities, expanding partner and referral networks and structuring customized capital solutions for high-growth companies.

With two decades of experience in commercial equipment finance and structured debt, Matt has deep experience in crafting tailored debt facilities for capital intensive businesses across a wide array of industries. Throughout his career, he has partnered closely with corporate leadership teams and founders to deploy equipment and growth capital necessary to scale operations.

Matt graduated from the W.P. Carey School of business at Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Management.

Matt lives in Scottsdale with his wife, son, daughter and two dogs. They enjoy bike rides, traveling, camping, swimming and hope to venture abroad with the kids in the not-too-distant future.

He served as general partner at Point Financial Capital Partners, a venture leasing fund and held a prior role as the president and CFO of InvestLinc Financial Services, an early-stage private equity fund and consulting firm. He has also worked as a partner at Cornerstone Equity Partners, a private equity fund.

Brown has a B.S. in business administration and marketing from McNeese State University and is a current Small Business Investor Alliance – Western Regional Committee member.
