Zach Taffet

Zach Taffet joined Trinity Capital in February 2025 as Director of Capital Formation & Investor Relations. Zach will contribute to capital-raising, fund development, and relationship management activities for Trinity’s growing institutional investor base.

Prior to joining Trinity Capital, Zach spent nine years at BlackRock, where he held key roles within the Infrastructure Capital Formation Team for the firm’s flagship middle market-focused franchise. In this capacity, he was responsible for relationship management, fundraising, product and business development, marketing, and investor servicing. Zach contributed to $13 billion of new capital commitments from institutional investors across the firm’s third and fourth vintage funds, a Middle East extension, and several co-investments. He also led the launch of the Team’s fifth vintage global fund, targeting $7 billion. Earlier in his career at BlackRock, Zach was part of the Onboarding Implementation Team, where he managed a pipeline of client account launches and handled change and maintenance activities. He worked closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely, risk-controlled delivery of client intentions.

Zach graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.

Zach and his wife, Arden, reside in Phoenix. Zach is a proud father of two daughters and enjoys time with family, working in the yard, playing basketball, traveling, and finding time to read.

Brown’s 30 years of experience in venture equity and venture debt is apparent in his ability to adeptly manage sales and strategic business operations working with early-stage companies.

He served as general partner at Point Financial Capital Partners, a venture leasing fund and held a prior role as the president and CFO of InvestLinc Financial Services, an early-stage private equity fund and consulting firm. He has also worked as a partner at Cornerstone Equity Partners, a private equity fund.

Brown has a B.S. in business administration and marketing from McNeese State University and is a current Small Business Investor Alliance – Western Regional Committee member.
